24by7assist Carbon Mission Statement.... 24by7assist operates from a number of dispersed Virtual Offices throughout the South West of England. Our internal IT infrastructure is secure, affordable, lowers our internal costs, increases our competitiveness, makes us more efficient and provides natural disaster recovery. This is the same technology we sell to our customers many of whom have multiple offices and remote teleworkers. We have been working in this way for many years. More importantly, the way we work reduces our Carbon Footprint as a company and reduces our customer's footprint too. 97% of our support service is provided remotely because we have complete remote control of our customers' equipment and network devices. Working in this way, we are able to respond very quickly to support requests. 24by7assist is a company that adopts a "belt and braces" approach to everything we do. Our services are standardised and based around the size and complexity of our customers. When we have to travel to install new equipment, systems or services there are vigorous testing processes that take place before and afterwards to minimise the need to return to site. We do not leave site until our work is completed and documented properly. When we do have to dispatch an engineer on to a customer site, they are assigned from the nearest virtual office, cutting down unnecessary miles and emissions. All calls between our virtual offices are free of charge, our networks are permanently linked together. We can print, share files, exchange messages, access our helpdesk system and use email from any Virtual Office. Our support telephone numbers are routed over the Internet and can call in to any Virtual Office or Support Mobile Phone automatically. Even when outside one of our own Virtual Offices we are still able to work from anywhere there is access to the internet. This collaborative virtual model applies the same way to our customers many of whom do not now go in to "the office" everyday just to pick up the post or sit at their computer to access a file on the server. Instead they can call their office free of charge on a REAL telephone that there is no installation charge or line rental for. They even have their own localised telephone number. The paperwork is scanned on to the network server which they can view from home using their Virtual Private Network link configured via our routers. They don't need to travel from their office in Bridgwater to their office in Stroud as the networks are linked and they can talk or video conference completely free of charge for as long as it takes. Not only does our service cut down their Carbon Footprint, it also makes them far more responsive, efficient and cost effective as a business. So you see, when we say "were virtually all you ever need" we really mean it.
